Ouuchh, Aren't we all familiar with that word. The cause of the word that causes the most stress in our lives even though we know that it should be a walk in the park knowing that everything and anything is the way you want it and wanted by the other person. its a bitch if you ask me. Our expectations just lead us to things and circumstances that are beyond our control and when not met we tend to get upset, have quarrels, have our foundations of our relationships shaken over them. Kya karain - Such is life. We want so much and we give so much, but the sad irony is that everybody forgets the time when its time to payback. You tend to give people what they want and be there for them at the time of need and they work in their own little "logical" frame of mind, but when the tables turn, they raise fingers and the question the very notion of our way of thinking and doing things. Why? Why do we not stop and think and reflect on our actions and words from time to time and analyze it the other way around. Why does it always have to be us who have to make the ultimate sacrifice of pleasing people around us? How unfortunate is that. You give so much and you get sooo little. And then we blame and point to people for being indifferent, thinking about themselves, not caring, being inconsiderate and blah blah blah.
When i get angry I have to calm myself down but when someone else gets angry I have to calm them too. What an irony.... oh well. And when i get upset and expect people (specifies 'O') to go out of their way(which is very egoistic) and give mi a hug or console mi or any kind of warm reply, i am told that i am being extremely 'childish' and 'amateur'.
So, now i have concluded one thing for sure, being caring and devoted is fine BUT expecting the same is immaturity. Sigh-
Now its time to say do whatever, think whatever, act whatever, not going to be bothered by it. Have had enough already. So if you want to hold onto those expectations, be my guest but don’t expect others to abide to them. It wont happen. Ideally it should, but practically it won’t. You have been warned.
